Revit Model — Advanced Graphics II, Fall ‘23
The goal of this project was to familiarize ourselves with aspects of Revit that we weren’t comfortable with yet. We began by each creating a collage symbolizing exactly this and showing specific elements we wanted to practice with. We were then tasked with choosing a building showcasing the elements of design we wanted to learn that we would then recreate in Revit using the building’s construction documents.
I chose Måns Tham’s A-Frame Ski Lodge because of its “upgraded” A-frame style. I knew that I wanted to recreate an A-frame, but a typical A-frame structure was not complicated enough for this project. I focused mainly on experimenting with custom materials, slopes, and window forms to recreate the exterior facade to the best of my ability, as this was the part of this project that was the most difficult for me.
I already had proficiency with placing and editing furniture and interior architecture in models and wanted to push myself to broaden my horizons and improve my skills in replicating complicated architectural structures in Revit.
