Our task for this project was to render two bags and two pairs of shoes without blending and only using lines of different values and thicknesses instead. We were asked to focus on exploring depth through line-drawing as opposed to shading and blending like most of us are used to, so this was definitely a challenge.
It was much more difficult for me to think of the shadows on my objects as lines instead of as gradients, but it definitely sharpened my linework skills and I’m proud of the final product.
