This still life piece was my first large-scale experience with using charcoal as a drawing medium. The style and tones were difficult for me to adjust to and there are some things I wish I did differently, but I think the final render still captures the real still life very well.
Drawing at such a large scale as this one was hard for me to get used to, and this was one of my earlier attempts. Realistic works aren’t my strong suit, but this project came with pretty strict guidelines. However, I do still appreciate the final work and how it definitely resembles the setup I was working with.
