11” x 14” Embroidery on Canvas — Surface Research, Fall ‘21
This was my first project in the Art Foundation program at VCU. Our task was simple: transform a blank canvas into a work representative of you and your art without using traditional canvas mediums. Essentially, we were allowed to do anything to the canvas except paint on it.
In a lot of my art, I like to focus on manipulating color to make sure whatever I’m creating is visually pleasing. My art often revolves around expressing feelings I can’t express with words — something that is easiest for me through the use of different colors.
